Brent Golden Photography

I've always been amazed by good photography. Sure I can take your picture with a nice fish and manage not to cut your head off, but that's not photography. Good photography invokes emotion, or shows something familiar in a whole different light. Whenever anyone talks photograhy, especially angling photography in our area, one name always comes up first, Brent Golden. Brent is a local guy, an accomplished angler, and a friend of mine. I often see him on the river in his drift boat, occasionally with his family and his wife on the oars. Sometimes fishing, sometimes just pulled up in the shade watching for the hatch, or maybe just seeing the same thing I'm seeing, but through different eyes. I see the next place a fish might hide, Brent sees the river. And just like this morning over coffee when I opened his email, I see it too, through the eye of his lens. Places I have floated through hundreds, maybe even thousands of times, hauntingly portrayed through the magic of IR photography and a talented photographer's eye.

You can check out more of his photos and even purchase prints on his website www.brentgolden.com.
